NOTICE THE MASK... Think of it as 'having' LIFE... BUT does it have LIVING shining THROUGH it... OR is it LIKE being just a HUSK... LIKE just HAVING a CERT.. but never EXPERIENCING its usefulness in the work place



Is this ALL there is?

Is THIS all there is...

When your vocation becomes a dissatisfying and unfulfilling grind and no longer A Natural Expression of an Awakened Heart is it wise to REFUSE to hear it?

This may simply mean a quick re-evaluation of your top three values and your wheel-of-life.. OR maybe you have left the reavaluation of your career direction a bit too long and why you chose it in the first place...

Be careful having a career that MAY have LIFE but has NO LIVING shining through it.

Don't leave it unheard.. for the sake of 15 minutes.

Career Model

TO design the RIGHT Career Model it is important to ask "What is your Life Plan" and MORE IMPORTANT... HOW can you be sure your CAREER (as a vehicle) will support it.

I understand for many this is all fluff and BS but is it.. perhaps read this.

Working 'in' our career takes almost ALL of our time, effort, sacrifice when most would like to just BE happy IN their LIVES... SO it is clearly important to make the right decision when it comes to choosing the most appropriate career MODEL

And yes you would be right when you say
that getting AHEAD IN our career takes even MORE time, effort, money, sacrifice... to work ON our Career.

SO it is clearly important to be CERTAIN you ARE spending it IN (and ON) the right Career MODEL for you and your life expectations that will RETURN all that time, money, effort, sacrifice PAID and MORE... that has you working SMART.. and NOT ineffective.. and NOT just hard... BUT how can you be sure.. BECAUSE if you get it wrong too much could be lost.

So a key question (at all times) is how can you be sure that the "Career Model" you have spec'd out on the A4 paper in front of you will give you all the time, money, effort, sacrifice (you have paid) back and let you do MORE in your life...

Career NO MEANING without TRUST INTEGRITY

CAN I SAY that WITHOUT Trust, Integrity your IT PRACTICE would lose its MEANING... even if you are offered more money, more time off to be with family, more opportunity for advancement?

In good times
this question is unlikely to ever enter your mind BUT what if its 2009 when times are not good.. indeed you have heard people unexpectedly get laid off with very little savings, a lot of CD debt, a big mortgage, school fees AND who are now in deep trouble and in effect have been cast into severe survival mode... not knowing where their next meal is to come from.

SO my QUESTION is... Thankfully you are NOT in that situation BUT

WHAT is your Roadmap Of VALUES that you use to SHUT DOWN all temptation around the following 5 conflicting needs of Family, Income, Integrity, Security, Safety and PROTECT yourself from a wrong decision.

Did I mention that your VALUES help PROTECT you against making a WRONG decision that will lead to your IT PRACTICE lose all meaning.

WHATS the value of TRUST

We ALL know the IMPORTANCE of TRUST as a COMPONENT in the INTEGRITY equation.

If still unsure perhaps think about the DEVASTATION wreaked on the GLOABL FINANCIAL system BECAUSE of THAT one single component in the INTEGRITY equation NOT being present.

THE single component that was NO LONGER present was TRUST.
making it impossible for one banker to deal with another banker CAUSING the ENTIRE global financial system to paralyze, immobilize, freeze, grind to a devastating halt... a most DEADLY EMBRACE... that stopped the long running bull trend dead in its tracks, and brought the economy of countries down.

MONEY was pumped into the system to BUY some movement BUT did it put back in place the one component that was missing from the INTEGRITY equation? In your view did it put TRUST back in and can now say INTEGRITY is restored?

SO WE KNOW from the VISIBLE pain that TRUST IS IMPORTANT..
that without it a devastation will ENSUE that is REAL, VISIBLE, QUANTIFIABLE, PAINFUL that can be FELT by every single human being in some way.

SO with this VISIBLE cost in mind TO WHAT EXTENT do you VALUE trust in (i) your practice? (ii) your clients practice?
