Values - Protecting you from wrong decisions? or not?

Did you know that making a decision is really just value clarification?

WHO is comfortable answering this question?

What is a value? Do I see it? Can I touch it it?

Would not knowing what a value really is, cause making a critical decision harder?

Worst still what if it is true that values are critical in making our decisions, and that we find we have no idea what they are because we can't see them, we can't touch them or pick them up and drop them and hear the kind of thump they make when they hit the concrete...

is it possible then that the chance of making the wrong decision now escalates dramatically?

So allow me to ask.

How important are values that help safeguard you from making a wrong decision .. to you? OR is preventing a bad decision NOT important?
